We are part of a generation that grew up between two worlds.

We understand the people who built something real over decades, who earned their reputation the hard way, and who now find the digital world confusing and a bit unjust. We also understand the younger generation of buyers and collectors who are online, who are looking for exactly what those businesses offer, and who will pay serious money for depth, authenticity, and expertise. We speak both languages. That is not a small thing. It is what gives us the full picture and makes us effective.

Call the Wolf was founded by Ryan Lee Maeshiro and Maricruz Carrasco.

ABOUT US

Most people offering help do not actually understand the problem. The problem is not you, and it is not the technology. The weaknesses that exist in a business today are often the same weaknesses that existed before the digital world arrived. The game changed. The problem did not. What was once manageable in a smaller arena is now exposed at scale. Tremendously valuable, and yet tremendously invisible.

Consider the art world. Selling moved from galleries to art fairs to online. Three different arenas, three different sets of rules. But the dealer who knew how to present work, communicate its value, and build trust with the right buyer won in every era. The arena changed. The fundamentals did not.

Everyone says AI is changing everything. Yes, in certain arenas it is. But the digital world is changing the arena, the context, the details, the manners. The game is the same. What has not changed is the need to be findable, credible, and trusted. What has not changed is that the best product still needs to reach the right buyer.

Writer, editor, and strategist with a background in art.

Ryan grew up in Hawaii, studied at RISD, and graduated from Brown University. He is also a former professional tennis coach and music teacher, which means he knows how to take complex knowledge and make it legible to someone encountering it for the first time. He leads positioning, messaging, and communication. He works directly with clients to clarify how the business is presented, what it says, and how it earns trust with the right audience.

RYAN LEE

Operations strategist, technologist, and organizational architect.

Maricruz studied engineering, arts, and psychology, and has lived across North and South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. That breadth is not incidental to the work — it is the work. She understands how businesses operate across different cultures, markets, and contexts, and she brings that understanding to every engagement. She has an exceptional ability to see structure, technology, and organization clearly — she knows which details matter and which do not, what needs to be completed immediately and what should be done in stages, how fast something needs to move and when patience is the right strategy. She understands the customer experience from the inside and knows what adjustments a business needs to make, from a long-term structural change to a small daily improvement that makes everything work better.

MARICRUZ CARRASCO

Ryan and Maricruz are life partners who have lived and worked across multiple countries and traveled extensively. That breadth of experience shapes how they see people, cultures, and businesses. Both are long-term students of Tibetan Buddhist and Asian yogic and artistic traditions, which informs not just how they work but how they listen, observe, and understand what a business and its owner actually need. In a digital world where authenticity and humanity are increasingly rare and increasingly sought after, that understanding is not a soft credential. It is a core part of the work.

We are not a large agency. We do not outsource the work or delegate the thinking. Every client we take on is handled personally, deliberately, and with full attention. We take on a limited number of clients at a time because that is the only way to do this properly.
