THE DIAGNOSIS
Masami Teraoka was born in Hiroshima in 1936 and has spent more than six decades making work that belongs in the same conversation as the greatest artists of his generation. His paintings and prints are held in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, and the Tate Modern in London. He has been the subject of more than seventy solo exhibitions. He lives and works in Hawaii, where he is part of a community we have known for years.
His website does not reflect any of this. Placeholder text still sitting on the homepage. A broken page block. A typo in the body copy. Incomplete pages throughout. For an artist of this stature it is not just a missed opportunity. It is an active misrepresentation of who he is and what he has built.

THE INTERVENTION
We are fixing it from the ground up. Every page reviewed, every error corrected, every incomplete section finished. We are rewriting his biography, conducting interviews with Masami directly, and adding video. The goal is a website that is worthy of the work, one that communicates clearly and seriously to collectors, institutions, curators, and anyone encountering Masami's work for the first time.

This is ongoing. An artist of Masami's standing deserves a digital presence that reflects it. That is what we are building.
